Getting Real with Anthony Davis of Five Minute News

When British broadcaster Anthony Davis launched Five Minute News, he saw a gap in media for news that is delivered with feeling. “British news is emotionless,” he says in this interview with Podcast Radio’s Graham Mack. “I decided to make Five Minute News emotive. When I’m reading the story, telling the story, I feel it. But I still keep my voice..”

Davis calls the delivery a hybrid between BBC-sounding news, “but delivered with heart and soul, and really triple-checking the stories.” For people who don’t have time to scroll the wires, tease out the truth-telling stories, and consume the most important highlights, Anthony does the work. And, as he says, “We make it real.”

Five Minute News partnered with Evergreen Podcasts, and Anthony shares how the fit is ideal because we’re both independent, growth-focused, and interested in delivering fresh content to the world.

Podcast Radio is a new Evergreen partner, and we love how Anthony shares his inspiration and background in this interview. Check it out and let us know what you think!
