Overview

In partnership with Ideastream Public Media, Evergreen Podcasts helped launch Living For We, a mission-driven podcast exploring the health, safety, and lived experiences of Cleveland’s Black community. Across two seasons, the show evolved from an award-winning audio series into a multimedia awareness campaign combining podcasting, video, social strategy, influencer outreach, and community engagement.

The Challenge

Season 1 responded to a 2020 cityLAB Pittsburgh study ranking Cleveland last in livability for Black women. The podcast created space for honest conversations around systemic inequities, healthcare, education, work, and community life.

Season 2 shifted focus toward gun violence prevention and outreach to young Black men in Northeast Ohio. The campaign expanded into a multimedia initiative designed to drive engagement, increase awareness of community resources, and encourage meaningful conversations.
