The Challenge

Each episode created evergreen content that extended LMI’s expertise beyond the podcast itself. Transcripts

became blog and newsletter content, clips supported LinkedIn, and hosts had a platform to break down

complex topics in an accessible way. In many cases, we’ve seen a single podcast episode generate business

opportunities strong enough to offset the cost of an entire initiative.

So why aren’t more businesses using podcasts this way? And why did LMI have to pause despite seeing

success?

The challenge was sustainability. Not production quality or content value, but the time, energy, and

consistency required to maintain momentum long term.

That’s the gap many organizations face: The difference between what they could do and what they can realistically maintain without burnout.

The Solution

The Litigation Management project ultimately became a catalyst for developing a new internal production framework: The Fire Starter

Rather than relying exclusively on client-side hosts, the model evolved into a service offering built around:

  • Curated host development

  • Expanded host rosters - someone to carry the host position, or step in as needed

  • Professional moderator and interviewer support

  • Executive coaching and production guidance

The goal shifted from simply producing podcasts to creating scalable, sustainable thought leadership that reduces operational strain on internal teams.

This allows businesses to reap the full benefits of their capability, while maintaining reliability.
