Bullhorn acquires Herefish - terms of the deal were not disclosed

What exacly is a Herefish? Herefish is a 5-year old platform which provides process automation, candidate nurturing and... well wait a minute let me get the press release. "its solutions will help Bullhorn customers improve recruiter productivity, maintain higher data quality and accuracy, and improve communication between recruiters, colleagues, candidates, and customers.

Now remember, Bullhorn is an Applicant Tracking System built for Staffing companies and RPO, which means productivity is job one, because time is money... and staffing and RPO is a business NOT a JOB.

So why did Bullhorn pull out the checkbook?

"On average, Herefish automates 7.2 million actions per month and saves over 2 1/2 hours per recruiter per day." That's 2 1/2 hours of not doing stupid admin shit, rather the 2 1/2 hours with their nose stays to the grindstone or just more time on TikTok. Seriously Tiktok is the bomb...

In several reports, Herefish is listed as a Bullhorn Marketplace partner and in today's landscape core systems need to add features at breakneck speed and can't build everything - what better than a marketplace to monitor, identify and target new tech for acquisition? So, if you're a company leaning toward acquisition this is another example that the road to acquisition is integrations to core marketplaces or companies who WANT to be CORE, like the ATS.

My 2020 prediction is that Bullhorn is just getting started - look for more acquisitions and more importantly more market share in the staffing and RPO market.
