Meet The Hosts
Chad Sowash
Chad Sowash is an HR Tech heavyweight who has been spinning in the corporate circus for over two decades. Working closely with Fortune 500 bigwigs like AT&T, Lockheed Martin, and The Ford Motor Company (casual name-dropping, anyone?), he's seen it all. But hold your applause, folks, because that's not even the best part.
Before he became half of The Chad & Cheese, Chad strutted around as an Army drill sergeant. Yep, that's right - barking orders and probably scaring the bejesus out of recruits. But don't be fooled by the tough act, because he was also an online recruitment pioneer way back in '98, when the internet was still wearing diapers.
After a stint at Monster.com (yeah, the one you’ve seen on a million pop-up ads), he led the ship at DirectEmployers Association, innovated at RecruitMilitary, and even had time to whip up Randstad's first military veteran hiring program. And that's just the warm-up.
Nowadays, you'll catch him on his high horse, gracing events with his presence, and grilling the establishment on The Chad & Cheese - because, of course, he's an undisputed HR rebel without a pause. So buckle up, folks, and get ready for some truth bombs, served up fresh and spicy by the one and only Chad Sowash.
Jasper Spanjaart
Jasper Spanjaart grew up with a camera in his hands, and not a lot has changed ever since. He has made several feature documentaries (The Unknown Torres, 2019 & Gate Money, 2022). Some have been selected for Film Festivals around the world… and some have not. It’s their loss, really.
He also works as a journalist and Editor-in-Chief of a couple of media platforms, covering the wondrous world of entrepreneurship, HR and recruitment, interviewing start-ups as well as the more established unicorns of the world.
His last-name has been butchered by several media outlets around the world, and has been given many nationalities along the way. In his spare-time, this Polish-Norwegian-Swedish filmmaker (actually: Dutch) enjoys complaining about his favourite sports teams and watching reruns of Seinfeld. Not that there’s anything wrong with that…
Brian Johnson
Brian Johson has been working in the diversity, equity and inclusion space since the mid-1990’s. He also spent almost a decade in the financial industry, mostly with Chase Bank. In all his days, he has worked with more industries than he can count, with Coca Cola, The Iron Man Group, Federal Reserve Bank, Duracell, Sara Lee, Office Max, Key Bank, Nationwide Insurance, Blue Cross Blue Shield, MLS, MLB, WNBA, NFL, NBA, to name a few. He played football and baseball at Stanford University, was a part of back-to-back College World Series Championship teams and a bowl game, while also learning from Dr. Condoleeza Rice on his way to his political science degree. He was drafted by George Steinbrenner and the New York Yankees because Steinbrenner was enamoured with the previous Stanford quarterback he drafted, some Hall of Famer named John Elway.
Brian would go on to marry his college sweetheart, they would raise a couple of kids, and he would go on to earn three World Series Championship rings during an epic run by the San Francisco Giants, as a talent scout. Today, Brian works as a director for The Kaleidoscope Group, an international diversity firm where he manages multiple accounts, is a keynote speaker, provides 1:1 leadership guidance to clients, and teaches.
