Reporting for Duty with The American Legion drivers Jimmie Johnson and Tony Kanaan

Popular drivers Jimmie Johnson and Tony Kanaan will both be “Reporting for Duty” with The American Legion once again in 2022. Johnson, a seven-time NASCAR Cup Series champion, begins his second season in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES as the driver of the No. 48 Carvana/American Legion Honda. He will drive the full schedule this year after competing in the street and road course races in 2021. That includes his first-ever appearance in the Indianapolis 500 in May.
Popular driver Tony Kanaan will drive an American Legion-sponsored Honda in the 106th Indianapolis 500 in May. It will be Kanaan’s 21st Indy 500. He won the race in 2013.
Both drivers compete for the famed Chip Ganassi Racing INDYCAR team.
Pit Pass Indy show host Bruce Martin interviewed both Johnson and Kanaan at INDYCAR’s “Content Days” at the JW Marriott Hotel in downtown Indianapolis January 17 and January 18.

World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway (formerly Gateway International Raceway and Gateway Motorsports Park) is a motorsport race track in Madison, Illinois, just east of St. Louis near the Gateway Arch. It features a 1.25-mile (2 km) oval used by the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series and IndyCar Series, a 1.6-mile (2.6 km) infield road course used by SCCA, Porsche Club of America and various car clubs, and a quarter-mile drag strip that hosts an annual National Hot Rod Association event.
