Movie lovers unite! The ceremony that honors the best films released between March 1, 2021 and December 31, 2021 will be hosted by Amy Schumer, Wanda Skykes and Regina Hall at the Dolby Theatre in LA on Sunday March 27, 2022. This year marks the 94th Academy Awards.

"The Power of the Dog," a Western psychological drama starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons, leads this year's awards with a total of 12 nominations

"Dune," a science fiction film follows close behind at 10.

Denzel Washington is breaking his own record as the most-nominated Black actor in Oscars history, at 10 nominations. Despite the number of acknowledgements from the Academy, Washington hasn't taken home an Academy Award in more than two decades.

Troy Kotsur is the first deaf actor nominated in the best supporting actor category for his role in "Coda,” a film about a child who was the only one who could speak in a deaf family.

"Belfast," now nominated for seven Oscars, is writer-director Kenneth Branagh's semi-autobiographical drama about a young boy growing up in 1960s Northern Ireland.
