MORE ABOUT DR. MICHAEL GREENBERG:
I specialize in CBT/ERP (Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy/Exposure with Response Prevention) for OCD; I sub-specialize in mental forms of OCD, often referred to as ‘Pure O.’ I see many patients who have already completed some exposure but are still suffering from intrusive thoughts, obsessive doubt, and compulsive rumination. My approach to exposure therapy involves identifying the core fear behind the symptoms and untangling the OCD thought process as we do exposures.
I work with many individuals who have OCD or anxiety that is commingled with other issues, such as ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, mood disorder, and personality issues or disorder. Such cases require an understanding of how these issues relate to and interact with each other, and how they make sense together as aspects of a whole person.
