Evergreen Podcasts Partners with Downtown Cleveland Alliance to Launch Then There's Cleveland

Evergreen Podcasts (Evergreen), a Cleveland, Ohio-based podcast publisher, is proud to announce a partnership with the Downtown Cleveland Alliance (DCA). This is Evergreen’s first Cleveland-centric podcast.

The DCA is a not-for-profit organization committed to making Downtown Cleveland the most compelling place to live, work and play. The DCA’s own Michael Deemer and Lauren Niepokny are the hosts of the new podcast Then There’s Cleveland. Originally from Pittsburgh, Michael transplanted to Cleveland and has never looked back. Lauren is a Cleveland native who brings a young, fresh, vibe to the Downtown Cleveland Alliance.

The podcast is a conversation about all things happening in The Land and will have not only the kids from Cleveland beaming with pride but may even convince all the naysayers why our city is called “Believeland.” This podcast will feature guest interviews with some of Cleveland’s civic and corporate leaders on what makes “the 216” one of the best cities in America. Cleveland is blessed with three major league sports franchises, some of the best cuisine on the planet, the world’s largest outdoor chandelier,, top rated museums and a river that is no longer burning. Yet, there’s still so much opportunity for future growth and development. Hear about the dreams, risks and realities of the next iteration in Downtown Cleveland’s growth.

Host of the show Lauren Niepokny commented on working with the team at Evergreen, “I can't say enough great things about the Evergreen Podcasts team! Their enthusiasm, professionalism and helpfulness always makes me feel at ease in the studio and excited that we are truly creating something special for people to listen to.”

“I’ve really enjoyed working with the DCA on their podcast! I’ve learned so much about Downtown Cleveland’s past and future, and I can’t wait to hear what else they have in store for us,” says Sarah Willgrube, Producer of DCA.

Episodes
Then There’s Cleveland episodes are available on iTunes, Spotify, Google Play Music, and EvergreenPodcasts.com.

The first episode of Then There's Cleveland features hosts Lauren and Michael asking guests Tom Yablonsky, one of Cleveland's well known underdogs Executive Director for the Historic Warehouse District and Historic Gateway District as well as and Justin Bibb, Vice President of Corporate Strategy at KeyBank who discuss some very poignant questions about Downtown Cleveland's renaissance.

As one of Cleveland's behind the scenes champions, Tom gives perspective on how Downtown Cleveland positioned itself for the success we see today and Justin provides insight on exactly what it will take to continue the momentum.

About The Downtown Cleveland Alliance
For the past 13 years, Downtown Cleveland Alliance has worked diligently to create a cleaner, safer environment for every person that lives, works, plays, or visits Downtown Cleveland. Staying true to the organization’s name, the Alliance does not work alone. Our allies include the local government, our neighborhood-based partners, property owners, business leaders, entrepreneurs, young professionals, foundations, and other civic leaders who share our mission and understand the value of a dynamic downtown. Together we enhance the quality of life in our Special Improvement District by facing challenges and identifying opportunities that help position downtown for success.
